Himalayan cats, also known as "Himmies," are a hybrid breed of Persian and Siamese cats first developed in the United States.Despite their larger size, Himalayans can be considered a "gentle giant" of the feline world.If you're looking for a low-maintenance cat, however, a Himalayan may not be the right pick for you—their long, silky coats require daily care.

  • PERSONALITY: Sedate, affectionate, gentle, friendly, and intelligent
  • WEIGHT: 7 to 12 pounds
  • LENGTH: 12 to 16 inches
  • COAT LENGTH: Long hair

Himalayans have low exercise needs, but they are extremely playful and will get into mischief if they become bored. You can keep them entertained and engaged by providing plenty of cat toys and dedicating a few minutes to playtime each day.

  • Scratching their ear(s).
  • Shaking or tilting their head.
  • Redness, scratches, or wounds on the ear flap or the skin near the ear.
  • Debris, discharge, bleeding, or excessive wax from your dog’s ear.
  • A bad smell from the ear.
  • A painful ear.
  • A swollen ear flap.

There are other causes, such as ear mites (small parasites of the ears) and getting something stuck in the ear canal — but these are much less common.

2nd Step is the thorough checkup using otoscope by your Vet.

3rd Step is medication (if needed) and suggetions with habits and diets.


Why does my dog keep having an upset stomach?

Signs of an Upset Stomach

  • Diarrhea and/or vomiting
  • Lack of appetite
  • Tiredness
  • Grouchiness
  • Farting or burping
  • Fever
  • Excessive stomach growling
  • Having a rigid and hunched posture

Internal causes for an upset stomach include dietary indiscretion, food allergies, overeating, ulcers, tumors, parasites and intestinal blockages. External causes include liver or kidney problems, pancreatitis, hormonal issues, brain problems, inner ear problems, cancer, pain, heatstroke and stress.

Treatment for when your dog has an upset stomach depends on the severity of pain and its underlying cause. If a dog has pancreatitis that's causing their upset stomach, If your dog only has mild stomach upset that passes quickly, treatment may not be needed. If you are unsure, it’s always best to consult your veterinarian.
